Short answer: Dossier Floral Lavender is the Libre alternative with the clearest brand statement and a published note list, and Zara Golden Decade is the softer, sweeter route that reviewers tie to Libre. Burberry Goddess is a designer neighbor rather than a copy. None is the original, and none can be called identical.
This page is desk research. It draws on Dossier’s product page, Amazon listings checked on October 20, 2026 and a published roundup. We have not smelled, worn or blind-compared any of these. The roundup comes from Scento, which sells perfume and decants, so its ranking is opinion with a commercial interest.
Quick comparison
| Alternative | What the brand or source says | Notes shared with Libre | Check first |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dossier Floral Lavender, 50 ml | Mandarin, neroli and blackcurrant, then jasmine, lavender and orange blossom, then vanilla, amber and musk | Mandarin, blackcurrant, lavender, orange blossom, jasmine, vanilla, musk | Dossier says it is not affiliated with YSL |
| Zara Golden Decade, 80 ml or 30 ml | Listing names jasmine, orange blossom and lavender; Scento calls it warmer and gentler on skin | Jasmine, orange blossom, lavender | Sold by third-party sellers on Amazon |
| Burberry Goddess | Lavender, vanilla orchid, tonka and cocoa per Scento’s table | Lavender, vanilla | Different designer fragrance; Goddess Intense is a separate bottle |
The alternatives
Dossier Floral Lavender: the clearest statement
Dossier’s Floral Lavender page describes it as inspired by YSL’s Libre and lists mandarin, neroli and blackcurrant on top, jasmine, lavender and orange blossom in the heart, and vanilla, amber and musk at the base. It also says Dossier is not affiliated with YSL. Scento lists Libre with lavender, mandarin orange, bergamot and blackcurrant on top, orange blossom and jasmine absolute in the heart, and Madagascar vanilla, white musk, amberwood and cedar at the base. It says Dossier’s finish does not have quite the same depth as the designer version, and quotes a Fragrantica reviewer who owns Libre calling it “pretty close.” The Amazon listing is the 50 ml Eau de Parfum sold by Dossier.
- Choose it if you want to read the notes before you buy and prefer a brand that states its inspiration.
- Skip it if the amberwood and cedar base is what you love about Libre. Dossier’s list does not name them, and Scento describes the finish as lighter.
Zara Golden Decade: the softer, sweeter route
Scento says Fragrantica and Parfumo reviewers tie Golden Decade to Libre, that ScentVerdict calls it a “very close dupe,” and that DUFUME places it closest to Libre Intense. It adds that on skin it has a warmer, gentler feel. Amazon’s listing names jasmine, orange blossom and lavender. Both Amazon offers are from third-party sellers: the 80 ml bottle and a 30 ml size .
- Choose it if you like the lavender-and-jasmine idea but want it softer than Libre.
- Skip it if you want a maker-stated comparison or a note list. Neither the Zara listing nor Scento gives a full pyramid, and the closeness claims come from reviewers.
Burberry Goddess: the designer neighbor
Scento’s table lists Goddess with lavender, vanilla orchid, tonka and cocoa, and says it dries down into tonka and cocoa with a quieter trail than Libre. It cites Oomph London saying people often compare the two, and Parfumo listing the pair as “moderately similar.” That makes Goddess a different perfume with a shared lavender-and-vanilla theme, not a lookalike. Our Goddess vs Libre Intense comparison and Goddess review cover it in detail. We could not verify a Burberry-sold listing, so the link below is a labeled search: Search Amazon for Burberry Goddess Eau de Parfum . Pick the Eau de Parfum, not Goddess Intense.
- Choose it if you want a quieter lavender-vanilla perfume from a designer house.
- Skip it if you want Libre’s orange blossom and louder presence; that points to Libre Intense instead.
Names you may see but we did not link
Scento also mentions Maison Alhambra Leonie Intense and Lattafa Yara, and says it could not confirm either as a Libre alternative. Its own article is inconsistent about Leonie Intense, so we left both out.
The original, if you would rather start there
Amazon lists YSL Libre Eau de Parfum in 1.6 oz from a third-party seller (limited stock when we checked) and in 3 oz from Woot, both new. Confirm the seller, size and return terms before ordering, as with any fragrance sold outside the brand’s own store.
Before you buy any of them
- Sample the original first. If Libre itself does not suit you, a cheaper interpretation will not fix that.
- Name what you like. If it is the lavender-and-orange-blossom contrast, Dossier’s list is the closest on paper. If it is the creamy vanilla, check that the alternative has one.
- Judge each alternative on its own. Buy it because you like wearing it, not because a roundup used the word “dupe.”
- Compare the seller and the return terms. Opened fragrance is often final sale.

Frequently asked questions
Is any of these the same as YSL Libre?
No. Each is a separate formula from a different maker. Dossier says Floral Lavender is inspired by Libre and that it is not affiliated with YSL. The Zara and Burberry comparisons come from reviewers and a retailer roundup, not from the makers.
Which alternative shares the most notes with Libre?
Dossier Floral Lavender, going by published lists. Dossier lists mandarin and blackcurrant, jasmine, lavender and orange blossom, then vanilla, amber and musk. That overlaps with the lavender, mandarin, blackcurrant, orange blossom, jasmine, vanilla and musk in the Libre list the Scento roundup gives. Overlap on paper does not mean the two smell alike.
Is Burberry Goddess a Libre dupe?
Not in the usual sense. It is a different designer perfume that reviewers often compare with Libre because both pair lavender with vanilla. Scento says Goddess dries down into tonka and cocoa with a quieter trail. Our side-by-side compares Goddess with Libre Intense.
How can I try one without buying a large bottle?
Amazon lists Libre in a 1.6 oz bottle, and Zara Golden Decade in a 30 ml size as well as 80 ml. Dossier Floral Lavender is a single 50 ml listing here. Return rules for opened fragrance vary by seller, so read the terms on the offer you use.
