Short answer: Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man is the alternative the Scento roundup names first for Creed Aventus, and ALT. Fragrances Executive No. 26 is the one whose own listing says it is inspired by Aventus. The other four are comparisons made by reviewers and retailers. None is the original, and none can be called identical.
This page is desk research. It draws on Amazon listings checked on October 19, 2026 and a published roundup. We have not smelled, worn or blind-compared any of these. The roundup comes from Scento, which sells perfume and Aventus decants, so its ranking is opinion with a commercial interest. We do not repeat its similarity scores or hour counts, because they come from no shared method.
Quick comparison
| Alternative | How the source describes it | Who names the comparison | Check first |
|---|---|---|---|
| Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man, 3.6 oz | Closest match, with a sharper citrus opening and a smoother dry-down | Scento, plus other roundups in search results | Amazon lists it as Eau de Toilette; some roundups say Eau de Parfum |
| Montblanc Explorer EDP, 3.3 oz | “Aventus without the smoke”; cleaner and woodier | Scento | Deliberately less smoky, so it is a different mood |
| Al Haramain L’Aventure, 3.33 oz | Brighter citrus start and a muskier finish | Scento | Limited stock when we checked |
| Afnan Supremacy Silver, 3.4 oz | Fruitier, with toned-down smokiness | Scento | Some reviewers claim far more than the roundup does |
| Mancera Cedrat Boise, 2 oz | Citrus-led, spicier, with leather and sandalwood | Scento | The most distinct of the six |
| ALT. Fragrances Executive No. 26, 60 ml | Fruity-smoky; bergamot, pineapple and oakmoss in the listing | The brand, plus Scento | Extrait de Parfum; Scento gives no source for its “closest” remark |
The alternatives
Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man: the usual first stop
Scento ranks Club de Nuit Intense Man first and says its note list is similar in structure to the original. The 3.6 oz Amazon listing is sold by Amazon.com. Armaf also has a 7 ml vial spray listed separately, which is a lower-commitment way to find out whether the opening suits you.
- Choose it if you want the name roundups reach for first and like a bright citrus start.
- Skip it if you dislike a sharp citrus opening, which is where Scento says it differs from the original.
Montblanc Explorer: the cleaner reading
Scento describes Explorer as Aventus-inspired but without the smoke, with modern woody-amber materials in place of birch. It is a Montblanc product sold by Amazon.com, so there is no ambiguity about the maker. The roundup frames it as cleaner rather than closer.
- Choose it if you like the fruit-and-wood idea but find smoky birch too much.
- Skip it if the smoke is the part of Aventus you want.
Al Haramain L’Aventure and Afnan Supremacy Silver
Scento puts L’Aventure in the Aventus-comparison group, with a brighter citrus start and a muskier finish. Supremacy Silver is described as fruitier with the smokiness toned down. Neither brand markets its perfume as a copy. Reviewers quoted in the roundup sometimes make bolder claims than the roundup’s own scores, which is a good reminder that “closest” is opinion, not measurement.
- Choose L’Aventure if you want a major Arabian house with a brighter opening.
- Choose Supremacy Silver if you want the fruit up front and the smoke low.
- Skip both if you need a brand that states its inspiration itself.
Mancera Cedrat Boise: the outlier
Scento calls Cedrat Boise citrus-led and spicier, with a leather and sandalwood accord that it ties to a Fragrantica editor. The 2 oz listing is sold by Amazon.com. It sits closest to the original in mood rather than in note list.
- Choose it if you like citrus with leather and want a niche-house bottle.
- Skip it if you want the pineapple-forward feel people associate with Aventus.
ALT. Fragrances Executive No. 26: the one that names the original
The Amazon listing is the 60 ml Extrait de Parfum sold by ALT. Fragrances, and its title says it is inspired by Aventus, with bergamot, pineapple and oakmoss in the description. A 100 ml size is also listed. Scento says it is “one of the closest” on the signature but cites no source for that, so we treat it as a claim to test with a sample rather than a result.
- Choose it if you want an alternative that openly names the original.
- Skip it if you expect the same formula or the same brand experience.
The original, if you would rather start there
Amazon.com sells Creed Aventus in two sizes: 100 ml and 50 ml , both new and in stock when we checked. For a smaller first purchase, Amazon.com also lists an Aventus atomizer set with three prefilled 10 ml vials .
Creed also sells Aventus Cologne, Aventus For Her and Absolu Aventus, and Amazon’s titles for Creed’s own listings use a generic “Men’s Luxury Cologne” label. Confirm that the detail page names plain Aventus before you order. Our Aventus review explains how to tell the versions apart and whether the premium makes sense.
Before you buy any of them
- Sample the original first. If you do not enjoy Aventus itself, a cheaper interpretation will not change that.
- Match the concentration. Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum and Extrait are not interchangeable, and roundups do not always say which one they tested.
- Judge each alternative on its own. Buy it because you like wearing it, not because a roundup used the word “dupe.”
- Compare the delivered total, the seller and the return terms. Opened fragrance is often final sale.
